As a result, Smashwords independent authors/publishers upload eBook manuscripts to a publishing platform which converts these writings into multiple eBook formats which can be easily read on digital reading devices. The coolest thing about the entire process is, authors/publishers own their own work and set the selling price for their eBooks which are sold online by Smashwords and partners such as Apple, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, Sony and oversees retailers.
